WHY SIMON’S BURGER?

THE SIMON’S STORY BEGAN IN THE UNITED STATES, WHERE SIMON TÓTH, THE FOUNDER, FIRST TASTED A SMASHED BURGER. AT JUST 18 YEARS OLD, HE MADE UP HIS MIND: HE WANTED TO BRING THE WORLD’S BEST BURGER TO HUNGARY! UPON RETURNING HOME, HE HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO MAKE THE SMASHBURGER HIMSELF. SIMON DID JUST THAT, AND THE RESULT SET OFF A DOMINO EFFECT. AT FIRST, ONLY FAMILY AND FRIENDS ENJOYED THIS, AND THEN, MORE AND MORE PEOPLE GOT TO TASTE WHAT WAS, AT THAT TIME, AN UNKNOWN BURGER IN HUNGARY, MET WITH UNANIMOUS AND OVERWHELMING SUCCESS.

THE FIRST

FROM THE VERY FIRST MOMENT THE FIRST SIMON’S BURGER RESTAURANT OPENED — AND WITH IT, HUNGARY’S FIRST SMASHBURGER JOINT — IT WAS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO GET IN. THE HUNGARIAN AUDIENCE WAS SO ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT THIS NEW KIND OF BURGER THAT GUESTS DIDN’T MIND WAITING 3-4 HOURS JUST TO GET THEIR HANDS ON THE MUCH-DESIRED BURGER FROM THE SMALL SHOP. ALL OF THIS HAPPENED WITH THE FRIENDLIEST AND MOST PERSONAL SERVICE POSSIBLE, WHICH HAS SINCE BECOME THE COMPANY’S HALLMARK. AT THIS POINT, SIMON’S BURGER SHIFTED INTO A HIGHER GEAR. MORE AND MORE RESTAURANTS OPENED IN HUNGARY WHILE SIMON TRAVELED ALONG THE EAST AND WEST COASTS OF THE UNITED STATES, LEARNING FROM AND DRAWING INSPIRATION FROM THE WORLD’S BEST FRANCHISE NETWORKS.

GROWTH

 

SIMON’S BURGER IS CURRENTLY THE FASTEST-GROWING FAST-FOOD CHAIN IN HUNGARY, WITH 100% HUNGARIAN OWNERSHIP. IN 2024, THE COMPANY OPERATES 12 RESTAURANTS, EMPLOYS NEARLY 200 PEOPLE, AND SELLS MORE THAN ONE MILLION BURGERS ANNUALLY. THE COMPANY’S DYNAMIC MARKET SHARE GROWTH IN HUNGARY’S FAST-FOOD INDUSTRY IS LARGELY DUE TO RAPID NATIONWIDE EXPANSION: SIMON’S BURGERS ARE NOW AVAILABLE IN THE LARGEST CITIES OUTSIDE OF BUDAPEST, WITH MORE UNITS PLANNED FOR THE NEAR FUTURE.

THE FUTURE

THE SIMON’S STORY IS FAR FROM OVER. THE COMPANY IS COMMITTED TO ENSURING THAT EVERY MAJOR HUNGARIAN CITY HAS ITS OWN SIMON’S BURGER RESTAURANT BECAUSE THE SMASH EXPERIENCE SHOULDN’T JUST BE A PRIVILEGE OF THE CAPITAL’S RESIDENTS. IN 2025, SIMON’S BURGER WILL BEGIN EXPANDING INTO EASTERN EUROPE, WITH MID-TERM PLANS TO ENTER THE WESTERN EUROPEAN AND U.S. MARKETS. THE STORY ENDS WHEN THE WHOLE WORLD KNOWS SIMON’S BURGER!

SINCE OPENING, SIMON’S BURGER HAS APPEARED IN NUMEROUS PRINT AND DIGITAL OUTLETS, AND EVEN THE LARGEST THEMED YOUTUBE CHANNELS HAVE SHOWCASED ITS BURGERS. LISTING ALL THE MEDIA APPEARANCES WOULD BE NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE, BUT WE ARE MOST PROUD OF THE IN-DEPTH INTERVIEW IN THE HUNGARIAN EDITION OF FORBES MAGAZINE IN 2024. THAT SAME YEAR, SIMON, THE FOUNDER, WAS FEATURED ON FORBES' "30 UNDER 30" LIST OF THE MOST SUCCESSFUL INDIVIDUALS UNDER 30.
